Featured Rider Interview - Chris Bobryk
This weeks' featured rider is Chris Bobryk! Chris Bobryk is an international team rider that specializes in the freestyle/wakestyle discipline. He has a powerful, original style, is fearless, ripped, and a true showman. We were excited to sit down with Chris for this interview to learn more about how got into the sport and his future plans.
How did you first get involved with kiteboarding?
A few years after I started kiting I got a job at my local shop Mackite doing all the extra work they had for me as the young grom around the shop until I eventually started Teaching Kiteboarding with them. After High School, I moved to Hatteras Island, NC where was able to start my professional career which led me to where I am with today with RRD!
What goals did you reach throughout your career?
One of my main goals was to see the world with my kites and I’ve been doing that for quite a while now!
What are your current goals?
My Current goal is to compete in the upcoming KPL tour and explore some amazing new places along the way!
What would you say is your biggest accomplishment so far?
Just being able to live this life has been the biggest accomplishment for me. It’s a much different lifestyle than anyone would have expected from where I grew up in Michigan.
How has kiteboarding changed you as a person?
Kiteboarding has not changed me as a person but all the experiences I've had and people I’ve met sure have!
Do you have any other hobbies?
I skateboard, snowboard, wakeboard, do MMA, and workout constantly, I do anything but sit still.
